Using the Health Check

The Health Check is a built-in data quality tool that identifies gaps in your project records. It appears as a section on the Dashboard and flags Projects that may be missing important information.

What it checks

The Health Check runs eight checks across your portfolio:

  1. Not assigned to a Group – Projects still sitting in “Not Assigned”
  2. Not assigned to a Program – Projects without a Program association
  3. Have not started – Projects with a “Not Started” stage
  4. No Scope identified – Projects without a scope level set
  5. No Impact assessment – Projects without an impact level set
  6. No Strategic Theme alignment – Projects not linked to any Strategic Theme
  7. No Sponsor assigned – Projects without a Sponsor in the Resources tab
  8. No Project Manager assigned – Projects without a Project Manager in the Resources tab

Severity indicators

Each check is color-coded based on how many Projects are affected:

  • Green – fewer than 15% of Projects have this gap
  • Yellow – between 15% and 50% of Projects are affected
  • Red – more than 50% of Projects are affected

Using the Health Check

If any issues are detected, a wrench icon appears that links to a detailed view where you can see exactly which Projects need attention and, when possible, allow quick updates.

Reviewing the Health Check periodically helps you maintain complete, actionable project records and ensures your Dashboard views and reports reflect accurate data.
