Creating and editing a Project

Creating a Project

Click the add button on the Projects page. In the slide-out panel, enter:

  • Project name (required, up to 50 characters) – must be unique within your Organization
  • Group (required) – the department or division that owns the Project
  • Business case (optional, up to 250 characters) – a brief description of what the Project aims to achieve
  • People Cycle (optional) – where the Project falls in the HR lifecycle: Plan, Engage, Perform, Reward, or Develop
  • Program (optional) – the Program this Project belongs to
  • Current stage (optional) – Planning, Development, Implementation, Complete, Not Started, or Abandoned
  • Scope (optional) – Single Location, Multiple Locations, National, or International
  • Impact (optional) – High, Medium, or Low

Click save to create the Project.

Editing a Project

Expand a Project card and open the Summary tab. All the fields from creation are available here, plus:

  • Implementation start – the date the Project begins implementation
  • Implementation end – the date the Project is expected to complete (must be after the start date)

Edit any field directly on the page. A save bar appears at the bottom of the screen when you have unsaved changes. Click save to apply your changes, or cancel to revert. If you try to navigate away with unsaved changes, you’ll be prompted to confirm.

Deleting a Project

Click the delete icon on the expanded Project card. You’ll be asked to confirm, as deletion is permanent and cannot be undone (we actually think it’s better to use the “Abandoned” status, so you can track that!)
