Understanding Maintenance Mode

Maintenance Mode provides a grid-based interface for managing your data in bulk. Where the standard view is designed for working with one item at a time, Maintenance Mode lets you see and edit many records at once.

Entering and exiting Maintenance Mode

Click the toggle icon near the top-left of the page (next to the hamburger menu). The tooltip reads “Enter Maintenance Mode” or “Exit Maintenance Mode” depending on your current state. The toggle is available on these pages:

  • Projects
  • Resources
  • Groups
  • Programs
  • Strategic Themes
  • Issues & Risks
  • Decisions

The Dashboard, Account, and Organization pages do not have a maintenance view.

What changes

When you enter Maintenance Mode, the expandable card layout is replaced with an editable grid. Each row represents a record, and each column represents a field. You can edit cells directly in the grid – click a cell and type to update it.

The navigation menu also switches to show only Maintenance Mode pages, so you can move between entities without toggling back and forth.

Inline editing

Click any editable cell to change its value. Fields validate as you type – required fields are enforced, character limits are respected, and unique names are checked. A save bar appears when you have unsaved changes. Click save to apply all edits at once, or cancel to revert.

Adding records

An empty row at the bottom of the grid lets you add new records directly. Click the add icon to activate the row, fill in the fields, and save.

Bulk deletion

Use the checkboxes on the left side of each row to select records. A “Select All” checkbox in the header selects everything. Click the delete button to remove selected records. You can also delete all records at once – you’ll be asked to confirm before any deletion proceeds.

Filtering and sorting

Each column has filter and sort controls in the header. Click the filter icon to enter a text filter for that column, or click the sort icon to order by that column. Use “Clear All Filters” to reset.
