Navigating the interface

When you log in to VPMHR, you land on the intro screen. From here, everything is accessible through the top navigation bar and the slide-out menu.

Top Navigation Bar

The top bar gives you quick icon shortcuts to the most-used areas:

  • Projects
  • Resources
  • Dashboard
  • Your profile (click your headshot or avatar for a dropdown with Account settings, Update Organization, and Logout)

Slide-Out Menu

Click the hamburger icon to open the full navigation menu:

  1. Projects
  2. Resources
  3. Issues & Risks (appears once you have projects)
  4. Decisions (appears once you have projects)
  5. Groups
  6. Programs
  7. Strategic Themes
  8. Dashboard (appears once you have projects)

How Adding Works

Each area has an “Add” button in the page header. Clicking it opens a slide-out panel from the right side with a form to fill in. Complete the fields and click the “Create” or “Save” button to submit. Changes are not automatic – you always save explicitly.

How Editing Works

Most items display as expandable cards. Click a card to expand it and edit fields inline. When you’re done, click the save button. You’ll see a brief confirmation message when the save succeeds. If you try to close a panel with unsaved changes, you’ll be prompted to confirm.

Filtering and Searching

List views provide filter controls at the top of the page – you can filter by status, group, and other criteria depending on the area. An “Expand All / Collapse All” button lets you quickly scan everything.

Print and Export

Print buttons are available on the Dashboard, Issues & Risks Log, Decision Log, and individual project views. These open your browser’s print dialog with a print-friendly layout.

Maintenance Mode

A toggle icon near the top-left switches between standard view and Maintenance Mode, where you can manage data imports, bulk updates, and data quality checks. More on this in the Maintenance Mode section.
